WAIPIPI SCHOOL MURAL
I remember coming to New Zealand during my overseas travel when I was 18yrs old. I loved the obvious beauty, feeling of space and relaxed way of life that attracts so many. At the time I distinctly remember forming my youthful opinion that it would be a great country to retire to but that I was not ready for it yet! Well, I didn’t quite wait for retirement and in 2003 my husband and I immigrated here from England with our two very young boys. We both instantly settled into rural life and the lifestyle block which inspires me. Indeed, my crazy animals and equally crazy boys are a constant source of amusement. I have tried to use this humour to capture the unique Kiwi lifestyle and reflect its wonderful inhabitants. My artwork has been met with wonderful enthusiasm and feedback since I began in 2012. This has encouraged me to continue and expand to try and reach a wider audience. I hope my work brings a smile to your face!
